Battalion Chief Don Stabler
Don Stabler is a 40 year public service veteran serving with various agencies in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. During that time, Don has served on local and statewide committees through CALEMA (OES), the State EMSA and the California Fire Chiefs Association. He served on CALFIRE (CDF) Team #2 from 1997 – 2005 as their Communications Unit Leader and has filled various ICS positions on local, state and federal incidents including the tragic Iron Complex in 2008. Don also served in 2009 on the Federal ORCA (Oregon – California) IMT.
Don is certified by the Office of the State Fire Marshal as an Instructor 3 (Master) and has multiple ICS Qualifications. He currently represents the California Fire Chiefs Assn. on the FIRESCOPE Communications Specialists Group. He is also a past president of California Fire Chiefs Association, Communications Section, Northern Division. Don makes his home in Manteca, California.
