Both Cordelia fire stations (31 & 29) have now become official Baby Safe Surrender sites.

Downloadable are the California Baby Safe Surrender information brochure and the county Safe Surrender sites Resolution showing what other sites have been designated.

What makes this significant to Cordelia is that we are the ONLY county dept to do this. This being the case, the CFPD will make every effort possible to always keep both stations staffed and available.

If you are a new parent and your child is 72 hours old or younger, you may discreetly and safely surrender your child without fear of judgement or legal consequence to one of our two stations:

This should be passed around to every human being who has the keys to a vehicle and the capability of driving while under the influence with impaired judgement and the possibility of causing a life changing incident to happen to everyone he or she comes in contact with while in this condition.

This is perhaps one of the most intense commercials that I’ve ever seen and very well made. I hope that by passing this along to others, that it will make a difference and if just one life is saved, it will all be worth the effort to simply hit “send” and maybe save a life today or tomorrow or in the future. Please do not take offense. There is nothing personal about this email. It is about saving lives………….yours, mine, the grandchildren.

Australia should be complimented on having the guts to “tell it like it is” and get this campaign out to all of its licensed drivers and to air it on TV…it is very moving and very life like, so it has a very strong impact.

If so, the Cordelia Firefighters Association would like for you to join us in a fundraising effort.  It is simple – all you have to do is print and fill out the form below and we’ll mail you a SHARES card to use at the point of checkout at any of these stores.  The SHARES card is swiped before you pay for your purchases.  The Firefighters Association will receive a quarterly check equaling 3% of all purchases made using the card.

The Cordelia Firefighters Association offers paramedic scholarships, an open house for the general public, partnership with the boy scouts and FaST Lions club for the Thanksgiving basket giveaway program, Christmas gift giveaway program sponsored by the Salvation Army, and other community programs.

All you have to do is fill out the bottom portion, leave it with the person behind the table or mail it to the Cordelia Fire District, 2155 Cordelia Road, Fairfield 94534, and we’ll get one mailed to you.
