· Matt was hired with the District in August 2002. He has remained a very
loyal and dedicated employee. He has proven himself to be a well
respected leader.
· He is a Company Officer and a Driver/Operator.
· He recently became a Paramedic, skills which are valuable to our
community.
· He also works for Medic Ambulance.
· He is the Cordelia Firefighter Association President, currently elected to a
second term by his peers.
· He has always been very active in training new employees.
· He earned an Associates Degree in Fire Science from Solano College
· He gives his time to the community by organizing a Christmas toy drive for
the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program with 100% participation from all
involved. He also volunteered his time to work the First Aid tent for the
Cancer Walk-a-thon held at Solano Community College.
· He started a donation fund for our firefighters who became new parents.
The donation fund could be used for items for the new baby or placed in a
savings acct.
· He also was instrumental in starting the Paramedic Scholarship Fund
through our Firefighters Association which awards a scholarship to one of
our Firefighters each year who is studying to become a Paramedic
